“After reading a great book called “Three Cups of Tea”
(about a young man from US who tried to climb K2 but
ended up lost and almost died… a village in Pakistan
saved his life and he asked what he could do to repay
them and they asked for a school… 55 schools later
he is still going strong). I have always wanted to use
my artistic talent to impact the world so was inspired
to do an installation of 300 masks centered around a
theme of travel/culture/global issues. I want to sell
each mask and take the money to build a school in
Afghanistan thru this organization. I think I want to
also expand it to ask other artists to do masks also
and make it a community affair… “
